Casualty is a long running medical drama broadcast on BBC 1.
It’s huge popularity and longevity (it’s the longest running medical drama in the world – now into it’s 29th series) is down to it’s winning formula and naturally dramatic story structure. Each episode starts with an accident and the unfortunate character is then brought into the Emergency Department to be treated by the characters we know and love.
It was a privilege to be involved with this Grand Dame of British broadcasting, and I’ve had the good fortune to work with some of the UK’s most talented writers, directors and actors during my involvement with the show.
I’ve also been lucky enough to produce some the series’ higher profile episodes, using techniques which include underwater filming, flamework, and significant scene extension/green screen.
